Trying to get closer to the modern-day notions of beauty, full-bodied men and women torture themselves with different diets. Weekly.ua learned which tasty and non-standard diets help a person lose weight quickly and effectively

Salt-free diet: unflavored life
Sticking to such a diet is simple. You can eat anything you want and as much as your heart desires as long as you dont add even a pinch of salt.
Result:
7 kg in 1 week
Recipe:
Prepare ordinary meals that you are used to, but without adding salt. Buns, bread, canned products, sausages and herring are out of the question as they contain too much salt.
Dieticians opinion:
A salt-free diet will benefit people ailing from certain diseases of the bodily organs and systems. Mind you, this so-called Diet No. 7 is low in protein and salt as it does not include bread or greasy meats and fish, says Oleksandra Kyrylenko.
How the diet works:
Salt retains water in the human body. When the body excretes fluids it becomes dehydrated.
Pros and cons: Prepare your favorite dishes without adding salt. The advantage of such a diet is that it has practically no contra-indications and the result is stable. On the downside, reprogramming the body to a diet of unsalted foods is difficult as it is not filling. Even if you manage to lose some excess weight while dieting, there is a risk of regaining it after going off the diet.

Chocolate is what you need!
A chocolate mono-diet, regardless of it tasty name, is a real trial that lasts 5-7 days. You are not allowed to eat and drink anything but chocolate, non-carbonated mineral water and sugar-free coffee with milk. Actresses Jennifer Lopez and Uma Thurman, singer Alsu and many other celebrities stay trim on such a diet.
Recipe:
The recommended daily allowance of chocolate is 100 grams. It can be dark or milk chocolate bars, chocolate candies or even hot chocolate. After your meal, if you can call it that, drink water or coffee with skim milk.
Result:
7 kg in 1 week
Dieticians opinion:
This diet is not recommended to people suffering from acute or chronic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, the cardiovascular and central nervous system, kidneys, the musculoskeletal system, the endocrine systems, etc. I would not recommend even the healthiest people to put their bodies to the test, says Kyrylenko.
How the diet works:
A person loses weight thanks to minimum consumption of calories and consuming only one product. Such a diet contains only 500-600 calories a day.
Pros and cons:
Such a diet guarantees weight loss, though you may have an aversion to chocolate after that. Due to the constant consumption of coffee and chocolate and not eating normal food, you may feel dizziness and nausea and your blood pressure might rise. Such a diet is not recommended to people with high blood sugar content that are allergic to chocolate and suffer from heart disease.

Color diet: from white to red
This diet guarantees that you will go color crazy every week. The idea is to eat white food products the first week, green products the second week, brown products the third week and red products the fourth and last week.
Recipe: 1st week. White. Turnips, cauliflower, rice, poultry meat, white fish and dairy products.
2nd week. Green. Squash, cucumbers, parsley and green onions. Naturally, you will not be able to enjoy cereals, meat and fish. The only salvation is green noodles sold in supermarkets.
3rd week. Brown. Buckwheat, rye bread, beans, figs and certain sorts of pears.
4th week. Red. Red apples, tomatoes, red sweet peppers, peaches, red meat and red fish.
Result:
5-10 kg in 1 month
Dieticians opinion: Classification of foodstuffs according to the range of colors is contradictory. There is no reliable proof that of the effectiveness of such form of nourishment. Moreover, selecting fresh produce of a specific color will not be the easiest of tasks. It is much easier to go on a color diet one or two days a week, the dietician believes.
How the diet works:
A person can also lose excess weight by meandering through the aisles of a supermarket on a daily basis. Some dieticians are convinced that the color of foodstuffs has an effect on a persons mood and condition of the body. In this case, if we trust phyto-dieticians, weight is lost thanks to mono-products chosen for their color.
Pros and cons:
This diet is fun and can even evoke passion. Try finding everything that is green or starve. The main thing is that the choice of colored produce is not so limited, which is why everything depends on a persons ingenuity. The most difficult challenge is surviving a green week, when you be forced to get by on fruits and vegetables alone.
