Mass protests in New York go on. The rallies of people displeased with the situation in the US are accompanied by confrontations with police. Meanwhile, spokespersons for the law enforcers emphasize that despite the growing tension and some cases of dispersal of rallies are mostly held peacefully. NYPD spokesman Paul Brown noted that protesters were not blocking city traffic too much.

Talks between marchers and police are complicated because a few days ago police took down the headquarters of the movement in Zuccotti Park. NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg issued orders to expel the protesters from the park and clean the territory, because unbearable conditions were created there over the last 2 months. In 16 hours rioters were allowed to return to the park albeit without tents and sleeping bags.

Protest actions against the dominance of corporations and social inequality, which began on September 17 in New York, rapidly spread around many other US cities. Activists hold marches and other events daily, they often end with arrests of dozens of people.
