GDP dropped by 5.3%

In Q3 Ukrainian GDP dropped to 5.3% from the previously predicted 5.1% over Q3 2013, while the nominal GDP for the period amounted to UAH 428.163 bn, according to the State Statistics Service. The fall in the GDP in Q2 of this year compared with Q2 of 2013 accelerated to 4.7%.

Earlier, the Ministry of Economic Development informed that based on results of the first six months of the year the GDP fell by 3%. At the same time, the World Bank predicts an 8% fall in Ukrainian GDP by the end of the year due to events in the Donbas.

As previously reported, in the near future Ukraine would need additional US $15 billion in addition to the previously allocated US $17 bn to prevent financial collapse.
