Khreshchatyk, the main thoroughfare in Kyiv, was named one of the most expensive streets in Europe. 1 sq. m. of commercial space along the capital’s main drag costs US $3,600 a year. According to the ratings of Colliers International, rental rates for commercial space were used as the main criteria appraisal of prices.
The Top 20 is lead by Old Bond Street in London, where 1 sq. m. costs US $10,351 a year. 20th place was given to Na Prikope St. in Prague, where 1 sq. m. goes for US $3,384 per year. Khreshchatyk was rated 17th, leaving behind main drags in St. Petersburg and Copenhagen. Experts at Colliers International say Khreshchatyk is not a priority street for the development of high fashion brands, though it is extremely attractive for opening new stores.Printable version
