Grain producers insist on expanding sales outlets

The Ukrainian Grain Association considers it inexpedient to sell export and import grain only via the Agrarian Exchange. The statement came on the heels of a draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers On provision of commodity exchanges with conclusion as for the correspondence with the requirements of the provision of services on signing and registration of contracts, recently made public by the Agriculture Policy Ministry. Under the resolution, state-run Agrarian Exchange obtains exclusive right to organize trades on export and import of state price regulation objects at agrarian market. The head of the Union of Ukrainian Exchanges association Borys Berenshtein said the policy would create grounds for corruption, price manipulation and unfair competition.
