A new exhibition - “Momentariness of Eternity” was inaugurated on July 22, 2014 at the Arcane Art Gallery. It showcases a new series of works titled "AtmAspheric Front" by Galyna Moskvitina, who is a master of Objective painting and a founder of the ‘light-art’ or Laternative realism style.
‘Atma’ means soul, ‘sphere’ means spirit, and the concept of ‘atmospheric front’ deals with creation and movement of clouds. The idea behind this series is the balance on the brink of spirit and intellect. “Man’s thoughts are in perpetual motion, they play in the infinity of the soul just like the atmospheric fronts of clouds gather, travel and dissipate in atmosphere, - thinks Galyna Moskvitina. – On this brink of complete stillness and momentary movement a person can discover his/her true Self. Then eternity becomes a moment, and a moment becomes eternity where human spirit shines in all its boundless power and happiness”.
“These paintings are full of light, - comments Angelika Rudnyts’ka, a famous singer and TV presenter, - On one level, blue color symbolizes lightness of being, on another level it is a philosophic color associated with sky, air and feminine energy”.
The Arcane Art Gallery is a gallery with a unique perspective, it is the only gallery in Ukraine dedicated to Objective Art, which is based on fundamental human values and truths: wisdom, power, love and freedom.www.arcane.com.ua
LATERNATIVE REALISM OF GALYNA MOSKVITINA
“Laternative realism” – Galyna Moskvitina´s artistic style – is based on a particular perception of light and the use by the painter of conceptual images that directly relate to the concept of «light», «luminosity» and «radiance». Paintings created under this style are called “svetangs” - literally “canvases of light”. They are part of the "adventures of the soul", an attempt to express a spiritual experience in a pictorial form and to depict a space of light in the objective world.
Galyna Moskvitina is one of the best graphic artists in Ukraine, who once created illustrations for the works of Bulgakov and Shakespeare. She sôpent 15 years in China and India. The artist returned to the West with a series of paintings, which reflected her unique spiritual experience. In the years of 2011-2012 Galyna Moskvitina’s paintings were exhibited in Milan, London, Tel Aviv and New York as part of the “Code of Light” world tour. Her works caught the interest of not only the international galleries but the representatives of the biggest auction houses followed by the sales at MacDougall´s and Bonhams.
