The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade has prepared an updated macroeconomic forecast for Ukraine in 2015 – 2017. Based on the latest version of the Forecasts for Economic and Social Development of Ukraine in 2015 in case the pessimistic scenario of economic development comes true, based on results of 2015, Ukraine’s GDP will reach UAH 1.7575 bn; in case of the optimistic scenario – it will be UAH 1.8211 bn.
Inflation growth (CPI) will be 8.7% or 9.8% (December to December), respectively; unemployment rate – 10.2% and 9.8% based on the pessimistic and optimistic scenarios, respectively.
In 2016 Ukraine’s GDP is expected to increase by 2.5% or 4.5% (pessimistic and optimistic scenarios); in 2017 the growth will accelerate to 3% or 4.5%, respectively. At the same time in 2017 Ukrainian economy will definitely cross the threshold of UAH 2 trillion, reaching UAH 2137.3 bn or UAH 2366.8 bn, respectively.Printable version
